County Opens New Crime Lab

Congratulations to the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department on its new 5 story building in Kearny Mesa. Now, investigators will be in the same building as their state-of-the-art crime lab and evidence room. Proud to join my fellow Supervisors, County CAO and Sheriff Bill Gore for the ribbon cutting.

"School's Out Hunger's Not" Food Drive

The San Diego Food Bank's summer food drive is in full swing. Summer months are crucial for the Food Bank and the hundreds of thousands of children who depend on school lunches during the school year but don't have access to that food when school is out. For just $5 you can buy a bag of groceries at Vons and Albertson's and place it in the red barrels. You can also donate online. No child should ever go hungry!

Conversation and Craft With Constituents

It was a great Sunday at Second Chance Beer talking about local and regional issues with some of my constituents. The relaxed setting was a great way to get involved and share ideas about topics that are important. Thank you to the owners of Second Chance Beer for your hospitality and to all who supported this event.

Stealing the Show!

These precious little girls took center stage at the North San Diego Business Chamber's 30th annual RB Alive Street Fair and dominated everyone's attention! They danced to "Who Let the Dogs Out?" and had lots of people dancing with them. After their performance, I helped Chamber CEO Debra Rosen recognize several local businesses for their commitment to the community.
